Food and service used to be top notch a few years ago. Unfortunately, things have changed in the last year. Went there on one occasion and stood by the host station and no one greeted us, even though we could see the line cook. Went there during Lent for the fish fry. Was told that Guinness was on tap, which sounded great after a long day. Was informed that beer was not available. Ordered a Bud Light Platinum and waitress brought a Bud Light stating that the Platinum was out as well. Ordered the fish fry and was told that they were out of baked potatoes and twice-baked potatoes, so we both asked for fries. Meal took a long time to deliver to the table and we had to watch the regulars get seated after us and served before us. The host actually sat with them during their meal. Food was delivered and we received mash potatoes as opposed to the fries we ordered. We ate the food, which wasn't worth the wait. We will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Gippers II is a decent place to stop if you have nowhere better to be. The bar attracts a country crowd or workers getting off shift from the nuclear plant. There are four pool tables, a couple of arcade machines, a horseshoe bar, space for tables, space for some dancing, and a spot for a DJ. The waitresses and bartenders are nice and friendly, and the beer is cold. Just don't expect to order anything complex. One night a week (maybe Wednesday) there is Karaoke. On the weekends, there is a pretty big crowd and a good DJ. The food is OK, but in the summer the bar tends to have a lot of flies.

We have gone to this place several times for a family dinner, but only in the summer. The last time we went there was last summer and the food was great. We did our first dinner trip there tonight and what a mess. They advertised a new chef, well they should have kept the old one. The meal my wife loved last year was total crap drenched in margarine. My daughter complained about her chicken fingers and I looked at them and thought they looked good until I went to taste and realized they were breaded and fried with leftover fish batter and oil. Really nasty. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was edible but nothing to mention. Seems the best food was the Pizza bread that my son ordered. As stated, the food is crap, but, if you want a nice place to go drinking this may be your spot. They do have a really fantastic outdoor bar that looks great and is well put together. It is way better than the inside bar. If I were 20 years younger, this would be my drinking establishment but I would not consider for any good food. If the owner reads this, I would come there every weekend in the summer if the food did not really stink.

Fun, reasonably priced, friendly staff, decent food, great turkey burgers and other sandwiches with fresh baked buns, great soup, lots of fun stuff to do if you like to keep busy...cool outside space. Only complaint could be the side salad of iceberg lettuce and one cucumber.... However I really didn't expect a fancy salad at a sports bar, so it wasn't a big deal..

We went last Saturday for the all you can eat fish. I had fried and my friend had baked. Both Cod. My son ordered the Saginaki which was awesome! They really try to fill you up by giving you soup AND salad so if you are there for the fish pass on one. The fried fish was very good although I'm questioning it being Cod. The baked was definitely Cod. Thick and flaky. Mine was thinner and tasted more like pollack. Still good with a light breading. The service was super good! At $13.95, a very good value. We will be back!

As much as I liked the waitress, the cleanliness of utensils, and the quick travel to get here...there is something bad that I have to say that will overshadow all of this. I'm thinking that I will pursue getting my money back from this establishment. My potato was not inspected before it was placed in the oven. It was rotted on the inside. I ordered the all you can eat crab leg meal for 60.00. Comes with soup, salad, potato and dessert, not to mention all the KING crab legs you can eat. A steal right? I thought so too, but the crab legs were old and ammonia smelling. They smelled like urine. My companion had a decent batch but mine was horrid smelling. The FIRST in a lifetime of eating crustaceans/crab. They came out water logged, which happens sometimes, but the smell of the crab was deadly. They will have to reimburse me for those crab legs. They have no choice. I won't let this go! It's too serious of an issue. Thank God thus far I have not gotten gravely ill. Beware of the crab legs. I can not speak bad about anything but the crab legs, all else was up to par. Thankfully I never once stated that the food was good neither when the waitress asked me or the cashier when it was time to check out.
